Mr. Gary L. Durham, 82, passed away at his residence on Thursday evening, September 28, 2023 at his residence. He was an Air Force veteran and worked in sales with Nortel of which he retired from. He enjoyed golfing and had a love for dogs. 

Mr. Durham was born on November 28, 1940 in Bay City, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Thelma Waddington Durham; a daughter, Kari Booth; and a brother, Keith Durham. 

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Nancy Durham of Smithville; a daughter, Tami Strong of FL; a son, Todd (Dana) Durham of GA; three grandchildren, Austin Durham and Ashley (Leighton) Stegmayer all of GA and Dehryen (Lexie) Noriega of CO; one great-grandchild  and one son-in-law, John Booth of FL. 

Funeral service was held October 3, 2023 at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Little officiated and burial followed in Mt. Holly Cemetery. 

Pallbearers were Todd Durham, Austin Durham, Dehryen Noriega, Same James, Leighton Stegmayer and John Booth. 

In addition to flowers the family has requested that donations please be made to DeKalb Animal Coalition or Tunnels to Towers.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
