Mr. Grady Cope, age 84, of Estill Springs passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at his residence.

He attended Christian Lighthouse Church in Tullahoma and was a retired truck driver. 

Mr. Cope was born on September 9, 1939 in Smithville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hastle and Myrtle Cantrell Copel two sons, Tim and Barry Cope; step-son, Bret Cates; and two sisters, Betty Jones and Maxine Briggs. 

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Wanda Kay Cope of Estill Springs; three children, Melinda (Chris) Blocker of Smithville, Kayla Cope of Estill Springs and Bart (Tina) Cates of Hendersonville; one sister, Gloria Webb of Smithville; several grandchildren and close family also members survive. 

Funeral service was held Friday, May 3, 2024 at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Larry Briggs officiated and burial followed in Jefferson Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Jim Reynolds, Braden Bell, Bart Cates, Clint Case, Doug Tate and Kaine Bouldin.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
