Funeral services for Mr. Herbert G. Poss Jr. were held at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Aug. 8 with Bro. Bobby Allen and Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment was held at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Jr. Poss, 72, of Lebanon died at his home on Aug. 6. He was born in Smithville. He served in the Armed Forces and the National Guard. He was a mechanic and worked with Sport Outfitters for many years prior to his illness. He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed being out on the water.
Mr. Poss is survived by his wife of 48 years, Renate Poss; mother Omega Irene Davis; sons Robert Michael Poss (Angela) and Ricky Poss; daughters Michelle Lasater (Brad) and Rachel Ruiz; and daughter-in-law Rebecca Poss; grandchildren Derek Cook, Cory Lasater, Steven Reynolds, Nikolas Reynolds, Tiphanie Poss, Levi Reynolds, Christopher Poss, Chelsie Poss, Lucy Lasater, Richard Poss, Nathan Poss; great-granddaughter Lily Cook; and sisters and brothers Treva Wade, Eva Ferebee, Patricia Perrien, Shala Walker, Larry and Gary Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Gleaves Poss Sr.; son Roger Marlon Poss; and a brother LeRoy Poss.
Serving as pallbearers were his grandsons and nephews.
