Mr. Herbert Rose, age 91, of Smithville passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Rose was born on December 25, 1929 in Sparta to his parents, the late Sherman and Esmaree Rose.
He was previously a machine operator and a member of the Webbs Chapel Methodist Church. Mr. Rose was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Survivors include five daughters, Gail Sherman of Cookeville, Lynn Hall of Cookeville, Carol and Bob Poole of Cookeville, Judy Rose of Smithville, and Brenda and Martin Winter of Smyrna; four sons, William and Brenda Rose of Cookeville, Thomas and Tina Rose of Brush Creek, Randy Rose of Sparta, Alvin and Linda Rose of Cookeville; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Frances Brown of Kentucky.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. David Hill officiated. Burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery with military honors.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael Pippin, Joe Simonds, Austin Mersinger, Andrew Fields, Eddie and Tyler Hall.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
