Mr. Leslie Howard Moore, 70, of Rock Island, died July 31 at his residence. He was born Sept. 6, 1942, in Cannon County. 
Mr. Moore retired from the State of Tennessee with the Division of Property Assessment. He was a member of New Union The Baptist Church, has served as a minister in The Baptist Church Associations for 30 years, was a member of Short Mountain Masonic Lodge No. 373, and was an avid hunter. 
He was preceded in death by his parents Orville Howard and Grace Cope Moore.
Survivors include his wife Gail Moore;  sons Mark Moore of Rock Island, Paul (Joann) Moore of Smyrna and Jonathan (Crystal) Moore of Rock Island; and daughter Abigail (Eric) Wood of McMinnville; grandchildren Jordan, Nathaniel, Anthony and Hailey Moore and Caleb and Aniston Wood; a brother Lynn (Helen) Moore of Rock Island; and several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.  
Funeral services were held  Aug. 2 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Eric Wood, Elder Brent Craven and Elder Bryan Jones officiated with interment following at New Union Cemetery in DeKalb County.
McMinnville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
