Mr. Scott Benjamin Carroll Sr., age 61 of Smithville passed away Tuesday evening, February 13, 2024 at his residence.

He was a member of Smithville First Baptist Church and a retired construction worker with American Constructers. 

Mr. Carroll was born on October 07, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona to his parents, the late Irwin Ray and Nancy Lee Avery Carroll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Donda Avery and Irwin and Florence Carroll.

Survivors include three children, Scott Carroll Jr., Erin (Josh) Turner and Joseph (Megan) Carroll all of Smithville; four grandchildren, Aidan Turner, Liam Turner, Lexi Carroll, and Allie Carroll all of Smithville; two sisters, Rebecca (Duane) Hegge of Arizona and Debbie (Noel) McSweeney of Kansas; mother of his children, Sherri Carroll; several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service that will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

In addition to flowers donations can be made to the Overcomers Group at Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church, and the Smithville First Baptist Church Youth Group.
