Mr. Sonny Guy, Jr. age 71 of Smithville  passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at NHC of Sparta. 

Sonny was born on August 3, 1949 in White County to his parents, the late Willis, Sr. and Maudine Brock Guy. Also preceding him in death is his wife, Helen Sue Guy; three children, Janice Zoller, Pam Bell and Bobby Houk; one sister, Barbara Madewell.

He was formerly a mechanic for Tenneco and was of the Baptist faith. 

Survivors include daughters, Rita Gail Houk, Rhonda Lefasee and Pam Yates; son, Richard Guy; grandchildren, Nina Lawrence, Scarlett Lawrence, Ashley Highfield, Derrick Yates and Trayler Roberts; great grandchildren, Keley Reeder, Gracy and Emmy, Quinten Lawrence, Ricky Earl Ponder and Raven Cantrell;  brothers and sisters, Johnny Guy, Jimmy Guy, Donald Guy & Beverly Hatcher; and  family friend, Debra Jones of Chattanooga. 

Funeral service was held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with burial to following at Young Cemetery. Rev. Carly Conner officiated.

Pallbearers included Terry Strayn, Jimmy Guy, Stacy Guy, Alan Bennett, Steve Merriman, Keley Reeder, Zach Conner and Seth Pedigo. 

Donations can be given to the Lighthouse Christian Camp in memory of Sonny.  

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
