Mr. William Childers, age 87, of the Belk Community of Smithville passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Quality Care Health Center in Lebanon, TN. 

 Mr. Childers was retired from Magnatech & was a Farmer. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith and a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church in Alabama. Mr. Childers served his country in the United States Army.

 Mr. Childers was born on January 5, 1934 in Franklin County, KY to his parents, the late Acy and Vessie Beaty Childers. Also preceding him in death is his wife, Lorena Wright Childers; nine brothers and sisters; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Buel and Evelyn Wright.  

 Survivors include a son, Shane (Cindy) Childers; two grandsons Joshua Childers and Ryan Childers; great grandson, Travis Childers; three brothers-in-law, Mark (Hilda) Wright, Bobby (Marie) Wright and Joe (Patricia) Wright. A hose of nieces and nephews also survive.

 Graveside services was held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at New Union Cemetery. 

 Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
