Mrs. Charles Inglis Foy Green was born October 28, 1949 in Nashville, TN to Ray and Lorene Foy.

 

She loved exploring the country and picking blackberries with her cousin Dinah House, and was like a second mother to her much younger brother, Brent Foy. She could often be found roller skating or sewing her own clothes.

 

She graduated Memphis State University in 1971 (B.A. Education).

 

She taught at various middle school in Texas and Oklahoma. At 40, she began her teaching career teaching science for 12 years at Bleyl Middle School in Cypress Fairbanks.

 

In her early 50’s, she earned a Master’s degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University while teaching full time. She counseled students at Bleyl and the Alternative Learning Center until retiring at 59. After retiring, Cathy counseled homeless students for Cyfair schools until her illness forced her to stopped working late last year.

 

Cathy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles Green; her two daughters, Christy Lea and Courtney Taylor, and two son-in-law’s, Scott Lea and Christopher Taylor; her five grandchildren, Lydia Lea, Nathan Taylor, Jack Lea, Ben Taylor, and Brady Lea; her brother Brent Foy; her cousin Dinah House and her Aunt Nookie, Sara Nell Jones.
