Mrs. Helga Tramel Bain, age 82, of Smithville passed away Monday at her residence. 

Mrs. Bain was born on October 18, 1939 and was raised in Berlin, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Roy Tramel and parents, Wolfgang and Margot Appich.

Mrs. Bain was past member of the Smithville B. P. & W. Club and taught Sunday School and was an active member at Whorton Springs Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her three children, Deborah (Ralph) Owen, Sabrina (Thomas) Porter both of TX and Jim Tramel of Lascassas; sister, Monika (Willi) Theissen of Germany; three granddaughters, Jill (Tyler) Studinka, Rebecca Owen both of TX and Addie Bell Tramel of Lascassas; one grandson, Walton Tramel of Lascassas; two great-grandchildren Grady and Ada Studinka of TX; niece, Tonja Theissen of Germany. 

Donations please be made to Whorton Springs Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Bain. 

A graveside was held Sunday Feb. 20 @ 1:00 pm in DeKalb Memorial Gardens and Bro. Mike Carpenter will officiating.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
