Mrs. Linda Edith Golden, age 77 of Smithville passed away Wednesday night, October 26, 2022 at the Emergency Room of St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.
She was formerly a Sewing Machine Operator and was a member of Pomeroy Chapel Brethren in Christ.
The family chose cremation, and a memorial service will be held at a later time.
Mrs. Golden was born on March 11, 1945 in Smithville to her parents, the late Curnel and Altie Mae Driver Young. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Lee Golden; sister and brother-in-law, Hattie Dale and Fred Maynard; and son-in-law, Randy Stamps.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Willie Bethel Golden; son, Kernnie Golden; two daughters, Dewana Stamps and Jennifer (Joe) Nokes; grandchildren, Tiera Anderson, Amy Nokes, Sarah Nokes, Hattie Nokes; and great granddaughter, Madison Anderson. Special friend, Brandi Cantrell.
The family chose cremation, and a memorial service will be held at a later time.
The family asks that donations please be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses in memory of Mrs. Golden.
