Mrs. Linda Gayle Hill, age 83, of Smithville passed away Friday evening, May 3, 2024 at her residence.

She was a graduate of the University of TN in Knoxville and worked as a dental hygienist for 46 years. She was of the Church of Christ faith. 

Gayle was born on August 26, 1940 in Beersheba Springs, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents; Richard and Thelma Rollins Hill, son; Bernie Sullivan; daughter; Donna Cope; and husband, Willie Joe Attinkson. 

Survivors include four grandchildren; Ryan (Jennifer) Sullivan, Clint (LaKota) Cope, Matthew Sullivan all of Smithville and John (Emily) Caldwell of Va; one brother; Raymond Hill of Smithville, special sister; Shirley Hyder of McMinnville and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. 

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 7 in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Buzzy Neal officiated and burial followed in Shiloh Cemetery. 

Pallbearers were Dalton Fox, Austin Sullivan, Allen Hutchins, Bryson Travis, Grady Murphy, and Dewayne Reeder.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
