Mrs. Maggie Lorane Morrison Bryant, age 89, of Smithville passed away at her residence early Saturday morning, August 26, 2023 surrounded by those who loved and cherished her.

She was a member of the Short Mtn. Church of God and retired from Lifeway. 

She was born on December 9, 1933 in Killarney, West Virginia to her parents Barney and Fannie Morrison who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bryant; three brothers, Frank, Charlie and John Morrison; and one sister, Ola Christian.

Survivors include her niece and caregiver, Linda (James) Crook; great niece, Eden Nokes; two sisters-in-law, Mary Knowles and Dorothy Morrison. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Graveside service was held on Monday, August 28 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Chris Moore officiating. 

Pallbearers were Justice Nokes, Toby Nokes, James Crook, Tom Rowland, Richard Knowles, and Desmond Nokes. 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
