Mrs. Mavaneen Russell age 86 of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, August 12, 2016, at Raintree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville, TN.

She was born January 12, 1930, in DeKalb County, TN, was a homemaker and a member of Mount Hope The Baptist Church. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Emma Cantrell Redmon and her brothers Clyde (Thelma) Redmon and Foster Redmon.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years Gene Russell, children Darrell (Barbara) Russell, Kenneth (Joan) Russell, and Jenene Russell Steele and husband Nick, grandchildren Anissa Russell Webster and husband Tim, Ben Steele, Taylor (Dustin) Stoetzel, and Emily Russell, great-grandchildren Jacob Webster, Luke Webster, Tyler Steele, Micah Webster, Kaitlyn Steele, Ezra Stoetzel, and Hudson Webster, sister Dorothy (Sanders) Webb, sister-in-law Edith Redmon, and special family friends Billy Jack and Alice Barnes. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

Funeral service were held Sunday, August 14, 2016, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Garry McBride officiated. Interment followed at Jefferson Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN. Elder Dwight Knowles officiated at the graveside.
