Mrs. Willie Bell Harvey age 91, of Alexandria passed away Tuesday, May 31 at her daughter’s home.

 

Mrs. Harvey was born May 30, 1925 in Alexandria, the daughter of the late Mark Anthony and Etta Emeline Davenport Malone. Mrs. Willie and her late husband, Gilbert Harvey, were married in 1942. Also preceding her in death, six siblings, Corinne Kirby, Athalene McGiness, Birttie Foutch, Albert James Malone, Vester Malone and Johnny Malone. Mrs. Harvey was a member of the Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church for 72 years.

 

 She was a beautician for over 73 years, and was the owner and operator of Willie’s Beauty Shop.

Mrs. Harvey is survived by her two children, Timothy (Maureen) Harvey of Clarksville, and Tamela (Cread) Clifton of Gallatin, three grandchildren, Sara (David) Hill of Memphis, Camille (Trent) Sanders of Knoxville, and Kyle Clifton of Gallatin and his fiancé Mallory.

 

One great grandchild, Charlotte Hill. Sister-in-law, Ruth Malone of Nashville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Harvey were conducted from the Chapel of Avant Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1.

 

Bro. Kyle Clifton and Bro. John Cheatham officiated, with interment following in the Hillview Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers; George Allen, John and Matt Reynolds, Mike Higginbotham, Randal, Kevin and Chad Harvey, and JR Malone.

 

 

 

Avant Funeral Home, Alexandria was in charge of the arrangements.
