Parsley

Ms. Grace Cubbins Parsley age 84 of Smithville passed away Friday night April 8, 2016 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. 

Grace was the daughter of the late George and Maude Clayborn Cubbins. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Parsley; granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer (Alan) Clark; great-grandson, Ethan Parsley; 4 brothers, Bill, Dalton, Walter and Brown Cubbins; 4 sisters, Evie Crook, Dexie Young, Elsie Washer, Georgie Hendrixson. 

She was a member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church and attended the Buckner's Chapel United Methodist Church and The Baptist Tabernacle and a homemaker.

Survivors include 2 sons, Larry Parsley and Ricky (Maria) Parsley both of Woodbury; 5 grandchildren, Kristy Williams of Smithville; Stephen Parsley of Lenoir City, TN, Heather Parsley of Knoxville, Melissa Luttrell of Woodbury and Chad Morgan Parsley of Texas; 6 great-grandchildren; special friend, Erby France of Smithville; 2 sisters-in-law, Peggy Johnson and Linda Sue (David) Foutch both of Smithville; several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services were conducted Monday, April 11, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Bro. Donald Owens officiated with interment to following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers included; John Dakas, Cris Williams, Kenny Cubbins, Rick Widener, Wayne Cubbins, Jewell Duke, Mike Smith, Randy Tramel, Philip Estes, and Mark Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers: Don Nixon, Darwin Puckett, Hugh Walker, Carl Sifford, Larry Caldwell, and Russell Estes.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville were in charge of the arrangements.
