Funeral services for Myrtis Puckett Winton, 91, of Smithville, were held Feb. 7 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Robin Phillips officiated with burial following in Burton-Ponder Cemetery.    
Mrs. Winton passed away Feb. 5 at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. She was a retired nurse and a member of Buckner’s Chapel United Methodist Church.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ollie Pack Moore; two husbands, Houston Puckett and Jack Winton; a son, Marvin Puckett; a brother, Jim Moore Jr.; and a sister, Mable Hill Duke.
Survivors include her two children, Darwin (Delores) Puckett of Lebanon and Brenda (Wayne) Vanderpool of Smithville; a daughter-in-law, Beth Puckett of Smithville; step-daughter, Beth Bagwell of California; six grandchildren, Reed Vanderpool, Melissa Wallace, Naith Puckett, Shea Puckett, Amy Cushing and Amanda Puckett; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Harper and Liam Wallace and Caroline Cushing; a brother, Kenneth (Dorla) Moore of Dowelltown; and a sister-in-law, Sara Moore of Woodbury.
Pallbearers included Joel Moore, Reed Vanderpool, Chris Tramel, Josh Tramel, Graden Kirksey, Naith Puckett and Jerett Cushing.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
