Nancy Cantrell, age 78 of Smithville, passed away Thursday May 9, 2019 at her residence.  

 

She was a caregiver and member of the Quebeck Baptist Church.

 

She was born August 10, 1940 to her parents, the late Johnie and Beulah Dillon Mace.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Mace; two sisters, Lucy Dockery and Betty Forrest.  

 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Glen West Cantrell of Smithville; loving special friend, Diane Ferrell of Smithville; six daughters, Lisa Shoemaker of Cibolo, Texas, Debbie Pettit of St. Croix, US Virgin Island, Sandra Eidson of Tampa, FL, Sharon Kotecki of Olive Branch, MS, Reba (Curtis) Jones of McMinnville and Gina Nixon of Smithville; grandchildren, Misty (Mert) Schulze, Dickie (Amy) Denton, Clayton (Ally) Jones, Coty Jones, Katie (Kevin) Powell, Ryan Shoemaker, Jennifer (Clint) Fellows, Ashley Eidson, Danielle (Greg) Bourne, Kristen (Sabin) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Carter, Adrianna, Sadie, Aydon, Mason, Ashton, Kolten, Isabelle, Jackson, Emryn, Brieanna, Ethan, Brayden, Kayla; siblings, Ricky Mace of McMinnville, Micky Mace of Cookeville, Leroy Mace of Sparta, Wilma Thrower of McMinnville, Linnie Montgomery of Florida, Doris Ward of Cookeville and Millicent Ashburn of Cookeville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carolyn (Joe) Shielly of San Diego, CA and Pamela (Glenn) Marlow of Kennesaw, GA and a host of nieces and nephews. 

 

Funeral service was held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bobby Thomason officiating. Burial followed in Jericho Cemetery in Quebeck.

 

Serving as pallbearers were Clayton Jones, Coty Jones, Kevin Powell, Johnny Parrish, Preston Young and Billy Stoner.

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
