Nancy Linda Ball, age 79, of Smithville passed away Sunday night, May 18, 2025 at the Webb House. 

Linda was a retired factory worker.  She worked at the Smithville Shirt Factory from 1972 until it closed in the 1990's.  She then worked at Moog Automotive Manufacturing in Smithville until retirement.  She was a member of the Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church.  She loved the Lord and was a good Christian lady

She was born September 28, 1945 in Paris, TN to her late parents, Dorris and Luna Ray Wade.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Johnny Ball; three sisters, Janice Cox, Joyce Laster and Beth Schleiss; niece, Lisa McNair.  

She is survived by two sisters, Debbie (Jim) Reeder and Jo Ann George both of Smithville; nephew, Dale (Pam) Ball of Smithville; sisters-in-law, Wilma Harrell of Woodbury and Marlene Ball of Cleveland, TN; nephew, Ricky Ball of Woodbury, Jackie Elliott of McMinnville and many more nieces and nephews.

Per Linda's request, there was no visitation, and a public graveside service and interment was held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery with Bro. Bernard Houk officiating.  

Pallbearers included Johnny Ball, Ricky Ball, Dell Hacker, Garet George, Dale Ball, and Jackson Panker. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
