Funeral services for Larry Norman Cantrell, 65, of Dowelltown were held July 3 at Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Jay Watson officiated, with burial following in Whorton Springs Cemetery.

 

He passed away at his residence on June 29.

 

He was a Baptist, and made his career in the military. He was a 1st Sergeant at the Cookeville National Guard, and a U.S. military veteran serving in the Marines and National Guard.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Potter Cantrell; brother, Bruce Cantrell.

 

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Evelyn Tittle Cantrell of Dowelltown; three sons, Brett (Vanessa Cantrell) of Memphis, Bruce and Logan Cantrell both of Smithville; three daughters, Heather (Brandon) Thompson of Nolensville, Angelia Moore and Tiffany Audas, both of Smithville; five grandchildren, Destiny Pack and Izzak Moore, both of Smithville, McKenley Cantrell of Memphis, Wyatt Thompson of Nolensville, and Ronald Flanigan of Smithville; mother, Josephine Cantrell of Smithville; one brother, Gary Cantrell of St. Louis.

 

Pallbearers included; Bret, Bruce, Gary, and Sam Cantrell, Johnny Johnson, and Brandon Thompson.

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, Tenn., was in charge of the arrangements.
