Norman Howard Creason, 84, passed away December 6, 2022 in Nashville of an extended illness.
He was born in Cumberland County on January 19, 1938 to the late Barry Albert and Ethel Potter Creason. He grew up in the Crossville area, and his vast career took he and his family to Ohio, Missouri, Florida and back to Tennessee. He was a witty, light-hearted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all he knew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alida Jones Creason; granddaughter, Jerrita Baker; grandson, Larry Norman Rich; son-in-law, Larry “Bo” Rich; brother, Everett Creason; and sisters Eula Schubert and Jean Largent.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Rich of Sparta; son, David Creason (Mary) of Lascassas; grandson, Kyle Creason of Smyrna and Kevin Creason of Cookeville; sisters, Helen Beatty of Galion, OH and Ruby Rooker of Nashville; special friend, Eva Sevier; numerous friends from Crossville, Sparta and Smithville.
A graveside service was held at Robinson Chapel Cemetery in Sparta on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, Crossville, was in charge of the arrangements.
