Oleda Redmon Thomas, age 75, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at the Webb House Retirement Center in Smithville.
She was a member of the New Bildad Primitive Baptist Church and was a retired teacher and Director of LBJ&C Headstart.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Redmon and Lora Mai Flemings Maggart; sisters, Annie Ruth Bain, Emma Bell Cantrell; and brothers, Gentry Brown, William Monroe, Howard Winston, and James Thomas Redmon.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Thomas, daughters, Lisa and Jackie Norton, Johnna and Danny Goff, and Lora and Alan Webb; granddaughters, Olivia and Jeremy Southard, Martha and Justin Hooper, and Emily and Jared Newell; grandsons, Jacob Norton and Alina Lou, Anderson and Viviane Webb, Thomas Webb, and Nick Goff and Kelsey Ceriotti; great grandsons, Aiden and Emmett Hooper; sister, Evelyn Christine Gish; and brother, Jewel Edison Redmon.
A graveside service and burial was held for Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Rickey Arnold and Bro. Dan Gulley officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Jacob Norton, Anderson Webb, Nicholas Goff, Thomas Webb, Jeremy Southard, Justin Hooper, and Jared Newell.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
