Oma Frances Taylor, age 101, of Smithville passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at her residence. 

 She was a retired garment factory worker and a member of Indian Creek Memorial Baptist Church. 

 She was born November 18, 1917 to her parents, the late Isaac Yates & Hattie Jewel "Belle" Tisdale Taylor.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Firman L. Taylor; sisters, Myrtle Taylor, Elsie Lamberson, Ruby Mullican, Clara Nixon, Julie Ervin, her twin Ona Durham and Audrey Snyder; brothers: Dan, Roy, Johnnie, Bob and Joe Taylor; several nieces & nephews. 

 Survivors include son,Harold (Melise) Taylor of Alabama; daughter: Mary Spencer of Smithville; grandchildren, Denise Spencer Patton, Darrell (Teresa) Spencer of Smithville; great-grandchildren, Justin Patton and Allison Patton both of Smithville, Caleb Spencer of Smyrna; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Helen Taylor Cook, Hazel Taylor Johnson, Georgia Ridout all of Smithville, Jorene (Glenn) Thompson of Oklahoma, Gene (Mary) Taylor of Statesville & Donald (Debbie) Taylor of Greenvale. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews also survive. 

 Funeral service was held Friday, November 1, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ric Lee officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. 

 Serving as pallbearers were Carl Nixon, Earl Lamberson, Caleb Spencer, Ronnie Taylor, Jerry Taylor, and Charles Cantrell.

 DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
