Funeral services for Jesse Paul Pataky, 75, of Smithville were held Dec. 14 at Dekalb Funeral Chapel. Walter Ferrell officiated burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery with Military Honors.

 

He passed away Dec. 9 at DeKalb Community Hospital.

 

He was born April 18, 1939 to his parents, the late Jesse J. and Mary Pataky.

 

He was a member of Lighthouse In-Home Ministry, U.S. Army and Navy Veteran and was a retired tool and die maker, having worked last and retiring from SW Manufacturing.

 

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mildred Pataky of Smithville; three sons, Harold (Bobbie) Herriott of Sparta, Bryan R. Herriott of Knoxville, and John (Therese) Herriott of Smithville; 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Sandra (John) Duarte of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
