Graveside services for Phillip Hale, 78, of Pea Ridge Community were held Oct.16 at Hale Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community. Bro.Leonard Herman officiated with burial following.
Mr. Hale passed away Oct.13 at his residence.
Mr. Hale was a retired construction worker and a farmer and  attended Mt. Moriah The Baptist Church.
Mr. Hale was preceded in death by parents, Willie Edgar and Clara Lee Sissom Hale; his loving wife of 56 years, Betty Sue Keith Hale; brothers, Roy, Carl and Robert Cook.
He is survived by children, Patricia Beth Strode, Amy Linda Mathis, Phillip Mark (Mary Elizabeth) Hale, Tracy Lee (Randel) Knowles; eight grandchildren, Sarah Thomas, Jarrad (Jamie) Mathis, Jessica (Andy) Pack, Megan Anne Strode, Sabrina (Jordon) Melton, Mary Beth Strode, Lucas Knowles and Clara Knowles; five great grandhildren, Samantha Mathis, Ella Pack, Willie Mathis, Ava Pack, Miles Strode; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Family served as pallbearers.
DeKalb Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
