Ralph Lee Curtis, 88, of Alexandria, passed away Tuesday morning, June 19.
Mr. Curtis was born on May 16, 1930 son of the late Jim and Sarah Ann Neal Curtis. He married Lawana Faye Fowler Curtis in June of 1955 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2014. Also preceding in death are daughter, Teresa Mai Hunter; brothers, Monroe Curtis, Johnny Hall Curtis, and Jimmy “Cowboy” Curtis and sisters, Mary Cason, Mattie Malone, Gladys Driver and Gracie Henley. Mr. Curtis was a member of the Lower Helton the Baptist Church and was retired from T.V.A. as a track foreman. Mr. Curtis served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Curtis is survived by two sons, Jeff (Glenda) Curtis of Alexandria, and Steven (Michille) Curtis of Alexandria; five grandchildren, Will Tarpley of Ala., Derek (Brittany) Tarpley of Elmwood, Dakota Curtis, Colton Curtis and Savannah Curtis, all of Alexandria; great-grandchild, Makayaligh Tarpley; brother, Roy Dale “Pig” (Linda) Curtis of Watertown; sister, Amy Johnson of Smithville.
Funeral Service was held in the Chapel of Avant Funeral Home on Friday, June 22. Mike Clayborn and Dennis Wood officiated with Interment with Military Honors following at Hillview Memorial Cemetery.
Avant Funeral Home of Alexandria was in charge of the arrangements.
