Funeral services for Randall Gene Magness, a native of Smithville, and a resident of San Leon Texas, 56, were held Nov. 9, at the chapel of DeKalb Funeral Chapel.Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following at West Cemetery in Cookeville.Mr. Magness passed away Nov. 5 at his residence. He was the son of the late Gene and Wilma Oleda Judkins Magness and he was a heavy equipment operator.He is survived by his wife, Joy Magness of Texas; two sons, Daniel and Whitt Magness both of Smithville; two step-children, Sarah (Andrew) Shuff and Jacob (Kelli) Ward; one step-grandchild, Michael Shuff; sister, Priscilla Foster of Smithville; Aunt June Carter, of Smithville; mother-in-law, Sara Stewart of San Leon, Texas; sisters-in-law, Sherry (Rick) Daniels of San Leon, Texas and Sally (Tim) Pitts, of Gallatin; Brother-in-law, Andy (Gloria) Stewart, of Cookeville; several nieces and nephews also survive.Pallbearers; Danny France, Casey France, Justin France, John Warner, Bud Taylor, Whitt Magness, Carlton Jones and James Dillard.DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNNovember 13, 2013
