Rickey Wayne Murphy age 36 of Smithville, passed away Thursday morning, December 15, 2016 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER.

He was born April 2, 1980 to his parents, the late Rickey E. and Minnie O. Thomas Murphy. 

He was disabled and affiliated with the Dowelltown Baptist Church.

Survivors include his fiancé, Michelle Anderson of Smithville; 4 children, Anthony Dewayne Murphy, Tiffany Anderson (Lou Chabarria), Joshua Anderson (Brittany Bogle), and Nathan Pack all of Smithville; 5 grandchildren, Jayden and Cayden Anderson, Brantley Wilkey, Klio and Khaliece Chabarria; parents, Rickey E. and Minnie O. Murphy of Smithville; 2 sisters, Teresa and Jerry Chapman and Norma Ervin both of Smithville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Cannady Cemetery with Bro. Richard Petty officiating.  There was no visitation with the family at the funeral home, family and friends met at the cemetery for the graveside service. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
