Graveside services of Virginia M. Rickman, 91, of Silver Point were held Jan. 21 in Durant, Mississippi.  Bro. Tony Crow and Rev. Higdon Herrington officiated.

 

She passed away Jan. 19 at NHC Healthcare of Smithville.

 

She worked as a U.S. Postmaster, and played the piano for the Silver Point Baptist Church for ten years.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sallie Mae Weeks Myers; her husbands, Charles F. Kealhofer, A.A. Billy Tate, and Rupert Rickman; grandson, Trae Gowan; sisters, Lucille Ferguson, and Elsie Drane; brothers, Jack Myers, and Charles W. Myers.

 

She is survived by son, Charles Kealhofer, Jr. of Silver Point, and daughter, Sara Jo Gowan McAdams of Mississippi; grandchildren, Tamara Kealhofer, Charles “Bubba” Kealhofer, III, Sara Gowan Brown; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Eldridge, Madison Eldridge, Haley Eldridge, Grace Eldridge, Brooke, Emma and Avery, Jacob Kealhofer and Kyle Costlow; great-great-granddaughter, Jessilin Eldridge.

 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Silver Point Baptist Church.

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements
