Rita Grovene Campbell Curtis, 86, a Smithville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died March 27, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was a homemaker, member of the Assembly of God Church, and daughter of the late Hardie Albert and Ellen Burns Campbell, III. Mrs. Curtis was married September 19, 1946 to James Howard Curtis who preceded her in death January 7, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, James Bryan Curtis.

Survivors include son and daughter-in- law, James and Sharon Curtis of Cookeville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Willy Young of Smithville; grandchildren, Kevin Curtis of Monterey, TN and Tiffany Young of Cookeville; great-grandchildren, Coty Barr, James Brayden Curtis and Daylan Curtis; sister, Edna Farless of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in High’s Chapel with Billy Campbell to officiate.

High’s Funeral Home, Mcminnville were in charge of the arrangements.
