Robert Bob Milantoni, 73

Robert “Bob” Milantoni, 73, of Smithville, passed away Nov. 7 at his residence. The family has chosen direct cremation and a memorial service wil be anounced at a later date.   
Bob was a long-time patrol officer for the Detroit Police Department. After working at the old 15th precinct and also the 6th Precinct on Davison, he retired in 1986 from the department. Mr. Milantoni was also an U.S. Army Veteran and loved fishing and taking walks. He was a strong supporter of local athletics in Smithville and was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Vols.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lt. Col. P.A. Milantoni.
Survivors include his children, Lisa (Mark) Nadon, of St. Clair Shores, Jonathan (Amy) Milantoni, of St. Clair Shores, Donald Milantoni, of Pampano Beach, Fla., and Douglas (Debbie) Milantoni, of Eastpointe; grandchildren, Meaghan (Matthew) Lopiccoio, David, Daniel, Andrew and Michael Nadon, Matthew and Alexandria Milantoni, Nicholas Milantoni and Braiden and Hannah Quinn; sisters and brothers, Anita Spartaro, John (Nancy) Milantoni, George (Helen) Milantoni, Fred Milantoni, Kathy Lint and Jena Elman.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
