Ronald Eugene West, 62, of Smyrna died Monday at TriStar Stone Crest in Smyrna.

He was a Baptist and a former Pit Crew Member of Nascar Driver, Chad Chaffin.

The funeral was held Saturday at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

Dan Dale officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Eugene West and Aretta Livonia Russell West; brother, Freddie Glenn West; grandparents, Dewey and Frances Russell, Forrest and Harriet West.

Survivors include two brothers, Larry and wife Brenda West of Bellevue and Michael West of Smithville. A sister, Carol Puckett of Smyrna. Wife, Debbie West of Smyrna and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners.

Pallbearers; Gary, Brent, and Ken Russell, Brian West, Tim Adcock, Brandon Adcock, Andrew West and Chad Burchette.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
