Funeral services for Roy Wade Scott, 58, of Alexandria, were held Oct. 15 at Anderson Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Smith officiated with burial following in Hillview Cemetery.   
Mr. Scott passed away Oct. 12 at University Medical Center, Lebanon. He was born April 22, 1953 in Cannon County to the late Hiram Fred Scott and Sylvia Rogers Scott. He was a farmer.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Jacob Wade; and brothers, James Wiley Scott and Billy Scott.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Ruby Gibbs Scott, of Alexandria; children, Dorothy Richardson, of Murfressboro, Emily Scott, of Smithville, Andy Scott, of Smithville, Misty Bowman, of Cookeville, and Tonya Vanness, of Baxter; grandchildren, Jamie Richardson, Kelsey and Isaac Scott, Destiny and James Whitehead and Elaina Vanness; a sister, Jean Page, of Alexandria; a brother, Vernon Scott of Alexandria; nieces; and nephews.
Pallbearers included Andy Scott, Tonya Vanness, James Vanness, Misty Bowman, David Phillips and Jamie Richardson.
Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
