Ruth Cantrell Prinzivalle, age 90, of Smithville passed away Tuesday September 27, 2022, at her residence.

She was a former member of the Order of the Easter Star and worked at Champion Sparkplugs in Detroit. 

Ruth was born December 29, 1931, to her parents, the late Fred Parker and Beulah Frances Ponder Cantrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Vincent Prinzivalle; siblings, Bill, Lawrence, and Frank Cantrell, Ruby Ballard, and Nell Connolly. 

Ruth is survived by daughter, Kim (Steve) Nash of Smithville; stepson, Nick Prinzivalli of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Mary Cantrell Lawson and Jane Cantrell both of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service was held Thursday, September 29, 2022, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial followed in Burton-Ponder Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Paul Connolly, Cayden Connolly, Daniel Patterson, and Samuel Patterson. 

In addition to flowers donations may be made to Children's Hospital in memory of Mrs. Ruth. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
