Funeral services for Ruth Elaine Hunter, 69, of Smithville were held on Jan. 25 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

Bro. Phillip Tollett officiated, with burial following in Hunter’s Cove Cemetery in Overton County.

She passed away Jan. 20 at her residence.

She was a member of the Emmaus Community, Women of Faith, and Food Ministry at Allen’s Chapel Methodist Church, a member of Allen’s Chapel Methodist Church, and worked at Toshiba Manufacturing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcum and Susie Mills.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry Hunter of Smithville; daughter, Tina and Steve Pickett of Chattanooga; one son, Jonathan and Emily Hunter of Mt. Juliet; five grandchildren; one brother, Al and Kate Mills of Kentucky.

Pallbearers included; Bernie Funke, David Geoghegan, Joel Moore, and Gary Johnson.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
