Funeral services for Ruthie Lela Johnson, 88, of Smithville were held May 3 at the chapel of Love Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Wendell Judkins officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Johnson passed away April 30 at her residence. She was a homemaker and affiliated with Smithville Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Repsie Johnson; son Gregory Johnson; parents Green and Ada Bond Pedigo; brother Martin Lee Pedigo; and three sisters Roxie Johnson, Lucille Blair and Lillian Taylor.
Survivors include her son Glenn (Betty) Johnson of Smithville; two grandchildren Bradley (Nikki) Johnson of Memphis Pamela (Carl) Eckert of Michigan; two great-grandchildren Justin (Victoria) Johnson; and a sister Lorene Goff of Michigan.
Pallbearers included Robert Blair, Carl Eckert, Glenn and Brad Johnson, Zach Fuson and Chad Kirby.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville,  was in charge of the arrangements.
