Ms. Sallie Frances Parkerson, 82, of Alexandria, passed away Feb. 26 at Dekalb Community Hospital.Ms. Parkerson was born Sept. 9, 1930 in Dekalb County, the daughter of the late Oliver Lige Parkerson and Movie Malone. She was also preceded in death by six siblings Toy Parkerson, Elbert Parkerson, Jim D. Parkerson, M.B. Parkerson, Isabell Stephens and Bessie Fitts. She was saved at an early age and was a life-long member of Malone’s Chapel (Walker’s Creek) Missionary Baptist Church.
