Funeral services for Samantha Jones Hale, 92, of Smithville were held Sept. 22 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Michael Hale and Don Kelly officiated with burial following at Whorton Springs Cemetery.
Miss Hale passed away Friday, Sept. 20 at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a retired factory worker and a baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Venus A. and Ollie Hendrix Jones; husband, Howard Hale; son, Carl Hale; sisters, Christine Chapman, Sarah Lynch and Ovie Hale; and two brothers Brown Jones and J.B. Jones.
She is survived by three children, Harold (Barbara) Hale of Smithville, Jimmy (Jacque) Hale of Keltonburg and Helen (Joe) Taylor of Smithville; grandchildren, Craig (Patricia) Hale, Crystal Hale, Tyson Scott Hale,  Audrey Leighton Hale  and fiance Cory Adams and Becky (Mike) Crocker; great- grandchildren, Christian (Charles) Cox, Nicholas Hale, Elizabeth Chalfant, Andrew Blake Hale, Micah Nicole Hale and Byron Wilson; three great great grandchildren, several loving nieces and nephews; special  caregivers Angela Davis, Cathy Clayton and Paulette Duggin.
Serving as pallbearers were Danny Green, Roy Chapman, Craig Hale, Tyson Hale, Jerry Bluhm and Scott Davis.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Hale, James Billings, Austin Billings, Kenneth Walls, Clarence Walls and Eddie Walls. 
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, TN, was in charge of arrangements.
