Sandy Brown, age 64, of Dowelltown, passed away September 12, 2023, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

She was born October 14, 1958, to her parents the late Joseph and Dorothy Smith Costanza.. Sandy was a member of Snow Hill United Methodist Church, worked at Oakton Community College for 28 years, served in the United States Army, a member of the Eastern Star, a Business Woman, a candidate for Assessor of Property when she first moved to DeKalb County, director of the Alexandria Senior Center, a Radio Personality on Wjle with The Ben Herman Radio Program, and a very active person within the community.

She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Brown of Dowelltown; son, Robert (Jennifer) Brown of Hermitage; three grandchildren, Bobby Brown, Katelyn Brown and Evie Brown; sister Judie Johnson of California.

A Memorial Service was held Friday, September 22, 2023, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Clayton and Family and Friends officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Sandy.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was is in charge of arrangements.
