Sarah Ophaline Judkins age 96 of McMinnville and a native of DeKalb County, passed away Friday night, January 6, 2017 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville. 

 

She was born January 10, 1920 to her parents, the late Hershel and Martha Martin Judkins.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Jim A. Judkins; 1 son, Gene Edward Judkins; 2 daughters, Carol Herman and Aladean Judkins; step-son, James Calvin Knowles. 

 

She was a Primitive Baptist and a homemaker. 

 

Survivors include 2 sons, Clyde (Pauline) Judkins and Grady (Nina) Judkins both of McMinnville; 4 step-daughters, Linda (Steve) Hale, Anita (Eddie) Moore, Stella Dyer and Faye Cole all of Smithville; 3 step-sons, Gerald (Altie) Knowles, Melvin Knowles and Donald (Donna Kay) Knowles all of Smithville; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren. 

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Elder Paul Violet and Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial to following in Keltonburg Cemetery. 

 

 

 

Pallbearers included; Will Judkins, Matthew Judkins, Daron Judkins, Ricky Judkins, Anthony Curtis, Billy Johnson, Josh Judkins, Ronald Pisani, Dusty Robinson

 

 

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, TN was in charge of the arrangements.
