Bensman

Sherry Alice Faye Bensman, 40, of Alexandria passed away May 9, 2016 at her residence.

She was born Dec. 15, 1975 in DeKalb County to Weston Ray Ashford and Geraldine Ashford.

She was an assembly worker at L&W, and was affiliated with New Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Bensman; son, Ethan Powers both of Alexandria; grandson, Roman Tyler Williams of Watertown; mother, Geraldine Ashford; brother and sister, Gary (Stacy) Ashford, and Mary (David) Cole all of Alexandria; step-children, Ashton Bensman, Taylor Bensman, Tori Bensman; nieces and nephews, Dakota, JD Ashford, Kayla, Carrie, Lorrie, Allison, and Dana Cole; father and mother-in-law, Pam and Patrick Ashford.

She was preceded in death by her father, Weston Ray Ashford; daughter, Hannah Powers; grandmother, Macon B. Ashford.

Funeral service were held Thursday, May 12 2016 at the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with burial following in Hale Cemetery.

Anderson Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
