Stanley

Steve "Pappy" Stanley age 70 of Smithville passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 afternoon at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

He was born January 3, 1947 to his parents, James Edward Stanley and the late Dean Campbell Stanley. 

In addition to his mother, he was preceded death by his wife: Lucy Stanley; 1 Son: Stevie Stanley; Sister: Paulette Bain; Brothers-in-law: Aubrey Gunter, Ernest Warren. 

Steve was a member of the Smithville Church of Christ and a retired truck driver. 

Survivors include 3 children: Lori (Manuel) Ramirez, Paul (Amy) Stanley, Jamie (Arturo) Ramirez all of Smithville; Father: James Stanley of Smithville; Brother-in-law; Randy Bain of Smithville; Niece; Tammy Moser of Smyrna; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held Thursday January 26, 2017 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Dan Gulley officiated with burial following in the Oak Grove Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expense.

Pallbearers; Dwayne Pendegraph, Emilio Ramirez, Anthony Ramirez, Jimmy Pirtle, Dallas Seaborn, and Bradley Campbell.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, TN was in charge of the arrangements.
