Funeral services for Steve White, 52, of Smithville were held Jan. 4, at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Bill Robertson  officiated, with burial following at  DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mr. White passed away Jan.1 at DeKalb Community Hospital.
He was a Member of Elizabeth Chapel Church, City Alderman for 12 years, a member of the Tennessee Downtowns Committee and a Rural Route Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Barbara Colvert; nephew, Bryan White; sister-in-law, Kathy White.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lou Ann Colvert White of Smithville; three daughters, Camry (Josh) Kerley of Smithville, Carlee White and Chloe White of Smithville; parents, WJ “Dub” and Treva White of Smithville; four brothers, Mark (Virginia) White of Gallatin, Thomas (Tammy) White, David White, and Paul White all of Smithville; brother-in-law, John Baker (Karen) Colvert of Murfreesboro; nine nieces and nephews, Lacey Duke, Lindsey Holmes, Sara Spall, Nathaniel White, Emily Linder, Michael Paul White, Kelly Wiley, Baker Colvert, Grant Colvert, and special great nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers included; Josh Kerley, Michael Paul White, Nathaniel White, Grant Colvert, Baker Colvert, Matt Wiley, Matt Holmes, Patrick Duke, and Braxton Pugh.
Honorary Pallbearers included; Mark White, Thomas White, David White, Paul White, and The DeKalb County Fire Department; Charlie Parker, John Poss, Danny Poss, Hoyte Hale, Patrick Edge, and Wallace Caldwell.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
