Suzanne Brown Taylor, age 75, of Mt. Juliet passed away peacefully Thursday, February 7, 2019 at home in the care of family and friends.
She was born June 26, 1943 in Metter, Georgia to Bernard L. and Elizabeth J. Brown.
Suzanne graduated from Valdosta High School and earned a degree in Voice from Valdosta State College. She was married to Robert E. Taylor, Sr. for 56 years until his passing on July 31, 2018. Together they made their home in Middle Tennessee, adopting 3 children. Over the course of her life, Suzanne was a mother, homemaker, piano and voice teacher, and active in the church choir.
Suzanne is survived by daughter, Beth (Mark) Pafford; son, Robert E. Taylor, Jr. (Abby); and daughter, Allison (John) Martin; brother, Bernard L. Brown, Jr. (Snookie); sister, Betsy (Earl) Bagley; sister, Mary Kay Sellars; grandchildren, Laura (Jacob) Parsley, Benjamin Pafford, Maxwell Pafford, Robin Pafford, Catherine Taylor, Caroline Taylor, Robert E. Taylor III, Brittany Smith and Abby Smith.
A visitation for Suzanne will be held Friday, Feb. 15th, from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 16th, from 12-2 pm at Hermitage Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will occur Saturday, Feb. 16th at 2:00 pm with Son-In Law Rev. Mark Pafford and Rev. Rachel Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Robert E. Taylor, Jr., Benjamin Pafford, Maxwell Pafford, John Martin, Robert E. Taylor III and Jacob Parsley serving as active pallbearers.
