Funeral services for Thomas Keen, 73, of Smithville were held March 20 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Richard Haley officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Keen passed away March 18 at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. He was retired from Carrier Corp. and a member of Sink Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Matilda Smith Keen; wife Jane “Bunny” Keen; son-in-law Rickey Ford; sisters Easter Mooneyham and Greenie Mayne; and a brother William A. Rice.
Survivors include his two daughters Terrie Ford and husband Ray Vaughn of Smithville and Michelle and husband Carl Washer of Smithville; grandchildren Holly Ford Bullard, Carla Washer (Mark) Pedigo, Amy, Amanda and Caden Washer; five great-grandchildren Berkley Pedigo, Ricky Bullard, Katie, Parker, and Wyatt Washer; two sisters Eva Mitchell of Barbourville, Ky. and Viola Gray of Corbin, Ky.; brother Thomas Rice of McMinnville; special niece Brenda Davidson George of McMinnville; and several other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Joel Adcock, Dwight Rackley, Bill Green, Jason Rice, Ray Vaughan and Lash Rice.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville,  was in charge of the arrangements.
