Thomas Meek Faulkner, 97, died March 1 at DeKalb Community Hospital. "Great Tom" was born November 27, 1913 to James Frank Faulkner and Mildred Whisonant in King's Mountain Township, S.C. He was a product of the York County Public School System and graduated from The Citadel in 1935. After graduation he worked for the General Accounting Office and was in the Army Reserve until 1942 when he was activated.
