Tommy Eugene George, 77, of Smithville died Sunday at NHC Healthcare Center.

 

He was a member of the Church of Christ and was owner and operator of Dot's Sports Print.

 

The funeral was held Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

 

Wayne George officiated. The family has chosen cremation after the funeral.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lola Johnson George; daughter, Diane Mooneyham; son, Jerry George; six sisters, Vivian Thomason, Estelle Brown, Irene Nolen, Margie Fisher, Vennie Luke, and Margaret George; and eight brothers, William, Marvin, Edward, Henry, Clifton, Jerry, Jewell, and Tony George. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dot Martin George of Smithville. Two daughters, Charlotte Trapp of Smithville and Tonya and husband Travis Lee of Baxter. Six grandchildren, Heather, Ginger, and Brian Trapp, and Paula Ross all of Smithville, Erika Mooneyham of Murfreesboro, and Jerry George of Louisiana. Six great grandchildren, special friend, Debbie George, and several nieces and nephews.

 

 

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
