Funeral services for Travis Martin Parsley, 78, of Smithville were held Feb. 16 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Satterfield officiated with burial following at Young-Bend Cemetery. Mr. Parsley passed away Feb. 13 at his residence. He was a community man for General Motors and was affiliated with Bethlehem Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Travis Martin Parsley Sr. and Emma Bond Parsley; a granddaughter Charity Stone; two brothers Glenn Parsley and Maxie Parsley; and a sister Chloe Cripps. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Judy Parsley of Smithville; five children Terry (Patricia) Parsley of Michigan, Pamela (McClure) Cantrell of Smithville, Ronald Parsley, Travis E. (Shelly) Parsley of Illinois, Regina (Jeff) Stone of Smithville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother Charles Parsley of Smithville; two sisters Geraldine Lassiter of Indiana, Linda Sue Cantrell of Smithville; special cousins Jimmy Bryson of Smithville and Clayton Parsley of Smithville; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included Joey and Jeremy Parsley, Larry Williams, Chris Allen Barr, Billy Bryson, Todd Tyler and Noah Parsley. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
