Ferrari

 

Vincent Eugene Ferrari, formerly of Michigan and California, age 87, passed away on October 1, 2016 at his daughter’s residence in Fort Mohave, AZ.

 

He was born is South Rockwood, Michigan on May 10, 1929.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Eugene and Josephine (Frantz) Ferrari, sister Evelyn, brother Victor, and a son Brian Anthony.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Norene Lobdell Ferrari, daughters, Sharon Ferrari Miller Walker of Smithville, Mary K. Ferrari of Fort Mohave, AZ, and son Mathew Ferrari of Wixom MI.

 

Survivors also include sister, Mary Ferrari of Oregon, brothers, Leo (Pat) Ferrari and Alan Ferrari both of Michigan.

 

Mr. Ferrari leaves behind four granddaughters, Katherine Miller-Arnold Cantrell (Todd) of Franklin, TN, Sheri (Dave) Collins of Wolverine Lake, MI, Valerie (Rev. Wade) Lewis of Glasgow, KY and Kristy (Martin) Wilmath of Nashville, MI, six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Parker and Simon Lewis, Cody and Meghan Wilmath, and Lydia Arnold (Justin) Saunders and one great-great-grandson, Bentlee Dean Saunders. Also surviving are several nieces and their families.

 

Mr. Ferrari was a Catholic and a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.

 

Mr. Ferrari worked for the Wayne County Road Commission for 27 years starting as a laborer and retiring as an Assistant Superintendent of the Bridges and Roads Division, and was instrumental in the construction of all bridges and roads in Wayne County, Michigan.

 

After retirement, Mr. Ferrari enjoyed his hobbies of wood working, cabinet and furniture making, and inventing.

 

A Life Celebration service will be held at a future date.
