Nixon

Virgil Odell Nixon age 95 of Watertown died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at Tennova Health Care in Lebanon.

Born in Dekalb County, he was the son of the late Ira and Lockie Taylor Nixon and was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Cowan and brothers, Hubert, Haskel, Troy and Leonard Nixon and an infant brother, Charlie.

Virgil was a 32 year employee of AVCO Aerostructures and was an accomplished woodworker.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Reba Taylor Nixon and daughter, Debbie Nixon both of Watertown and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 at Hunter Funeral Home. Bro. Ronnie Smith officiated. Interment followed at Mt. Holly Cemetery in Smithville.

Pallbearers, Wayne and James Fuson, Don and Steven Nixon, Terry Sage and Joe Thomas.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Willard West and his staff and the nurses and physical therapist at American National Home Health for all their love and care.

Hunter Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
